Frame and sideplates are constructed of die-cast aluminum with corrosion-resistant coating. The A6061-T6 machined-aluminum anodized spool is driven by heavy-duty aluminum gears and shafts for lightweight strength in the harshest conditions, and is outfitted with precision Japanese ABEC-5 spool bearings. The multidisc carbonite drag system is microclick adjustable for precise settings with the star control wheel. At the heart of the reels drive system are eight ball bearings for ultrasmooth cranking and one quick-set anti-reverse roller bearing for solid, fish-jolting hooksets. An innovative, adjustable, seven-position Velocity Control System is a six-pin centrifugal braking system for precision casting control.
