A 9+1 bearing system provides smooth operation while casting and retrieving. Graphite sideplate is ergonomically shaped for palming the reel. Dial in the perfect cast with the externally adjustable Magnetic Cast System. Rulon drag system applies up to 10 lbs. of pressure to keep fish out of heavy cover. Drilled and forged, the U-shaped aluminum spool improves line lay for farther casts and longer life. The anodized-aluminum reel handle on the SSG1S is extended to 95mm for increased torque while fishing crankbaits. External lube port keeps your reel functioning smoothly.
